Westbrook Brewing in Mount Pleasant will host a cupcake and beer pairing Wednesday. Tickets are $5 per person and proceeds benefit Wings for Kids, a nonprofit organization teaching social emotional learning in an after-school program.

In appreciation of the PGA Championship kicking off Aug. 9, Peninsula Grill is offering a twist on the Arnold Palmer. Peninsula Grill will be serving up a vanilla bean and citrus cheesecake, with Firefly sweet tea reduction and fresh raspberries. The dessert will be served throughout August. Peninsula Grill is located inside the Planters Inn, 112 N. Market St., Charleston. It is open for dinner 5:30-10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 5:30-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Circa 1886 will offer a three-course prix fixe “Good Neighbor” dinner for $35 throughout the month of August for residents in the 29401 ZIP code. Invitations will be sent to neighbors of Circa 1886, and if recipients bring in their invitations to dinner, they will be entered to win a night’s stay at Wentworth Mansion. Circa 1886 is located in the carriage house of the Wentworth Mansion hotel at 149 Wentworth St. in Charleston. The restaurant is open for dinner 5:30-9:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
