A commercial recruiter is holding a job fair in North Charleston on Thursday to fill immediate job openings for truck drivers to move loads of grain around a port facility.

MAU Workforce Solutions is hosting the job fair from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursday for the openings at the company’s location at 5101 Ashley Phosphate Road, Suite 145, in North Charleston.

MAU wants applicants to apply online before attending the job fair to expedite the interview process. Applicants must submit to a background check, including a driving record and a drug screen. Applicants also must be able to obtain a TWIC card to work on port facilities.

The jobs pay $16 per hour and a commercial driver’s license is preferred, the company said. Job fair attendees will be interviewed on a first-come, first-served basis for the available positions, MAU said.
