Upper King Design District’s Spring Design Walk begins at 5:30 tonight with the official opening by Mayor Pro Tem Dean Riegel at SieMatic at 444 King St. in Charleston. SieMatic will introduce an iconic new kitchen concept, BeauxArts.02. Joining them will be blade smith Quinton Middleton, whose Middleton Made Knives have appeared in Garden & Gun, Madame Noire and Buzzfeed Blogs and a number of renowned chef kitchens nationwide. The designers at Haute Design, at 489 King St., will host a reception to raise money for their Ronald McDonald House project, where a dorm room will be turned into a space for a family in need of comfort and support. Michael Mitchell Gallery, at 438 King St., will host openings for artists Debbie Martin and Susan Colwell. Morris Sokol Furniture, at 510 King St., will also host a reception. Restaurants in the Upper King Street area will have specialty cocktails and dishes.
