Former British Energy CEO to speak at The Citadel’s Holliday Alumni Center

The former CEO of British Energy Group will be the featured speaker at the Charleston Foreign Affairs Forum this month.

William “Bill” Coley, who retired from British Energy Group in 2009, will make a presentation called, “The Global Impact of Japan’s Fukushima Nuclear Accident.”

The forum will be at 6 p.m. on Nov. 30 at The Citadel’s Holliday Alumni Center, 69 Hagood Ave., across from the Johnson Hagood Stadium.

Coley also worked for 37 years at Duke Power, which later became Duke Energy, in various positions, including a stint as company president from 1997 to 2003. Coley is the former director of the Nuclear Energy Institute in Washington and is a governor of the World Association of Nuclear Operators.
