Charleston Creamery in Mount Pleasant Towne Centre is hosting the third annual Sundaes with Santa from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Nov. 26 to benefit East Cooper Community Outreach.

Sundaes with Santa is free for children who bring an unwrapped toy or cash donation for the East Cooper Community Outreach gift drive through Mount Pleasant Towne Centre.

Coastal Kids Dental & Braces is participating in the Lowcountry Food Bank’s holiday canned food drive. The dental offices, in Hanahan and Moncks Corner, will be collecting nonperishable food items and canned goods through Dec. 14.

The main office in Hanahan will hold a Cocoa, Cookies & Canned Food Drive party on Dec. 14. Participants will receive a ticket for each food item donated, and tickets can be exchanged for playing games and creating crafts.

Coastal Kids Dental & Braces has set a goal of collecting 500 nonperishable food items.

The Lowcountry Food Bank distributes donated food to a network of more than 320 member agencies, including soup kitchens, homeless shelters and emergency food pantries.

Charleston magazine and the Coastal Community Foundation are holding the annual Giving Back Awards on Friday at Charleston Music Hall.

The awards honor individuals, businesses and nonprofit organizations with noteworthy commitments to giving back to the community.

Winners:

The red carpet is at 7 p.m. and the awards start at 8 p.m.
