Kangaroo Express convenience stores have begun offering text message coupons to Roo Cup Club members through Sept. 4. To be included, text ROOCUP to 67777. Deals include buy one, get one free offers, a customer dare and Friday specials.

The deals are meant to bring customers to the store and encourage them to donate spare change to the Salute Our Troops campaign. The campaign at Kangaroo cash registers raised $1.35 million in the first two months.

Planters Inn has renewed its Weddingmoon Package for couples. The package combines components for a wedding for up to 25 people with an overnight stay at the hotel to kick off the couple’s honeymoon.

The package, which will be handled by wedding coordinator and sales manager Rachel Sneed, includes a wedding officiant, bridal bouquet and groom’s boutonniere, a solo musician for the ceremony, photographer, venue rental fees and a three-hour reception including food and beverages from the hotel’s Peninsula Grill restaurant.

Other services can be included for additional fees. Some of those include a private carriage ride, table centerpieces and hair and makeup services.

The Peanut Shop of Williamsburg is returning to the Charleston City Market. The Virginia-based retailer, which sells hand-cooked Virginia peanuts and other gourmet foods and gifts, was in the market more than a decade ago.

The new downtown Charleston store will be the company’s fifth retail location and only store in South Carolina. Other stores are in Virginia and Savannah. The soft opening is planned for January, and the grand opening will take place in February. The store is located at 92 N. Market St.

Savory Sushi and Catering will be the site of a night out for women next month. The evening will include a wine tasting and pairing with Savory food, a Stella and Dot jewelry trunk show, and special deals from Go Charleston Deals.

Door prizes will be given, and the first 50 attendees will receive an envelope of coupons from the event presenters.
