Terressentia, a company that bottles and distills high-end spirits, last month moved into a 23,000-square-foot warehousing and production space at Dorchester County’s Palmetto Commerce Park.

The facility, located at 9770 Patriot Blvd., includes 2,000 square feet of office space.

Terressentia will produce and bottle an array of liquors, to be sold primarily as private label spirits by various types of retail operations. Other product will be moved for private brand owners or exported.

Terressentia uses a patented manufacturing technology process called TerrePure that quickly refines spirits.

The company was founded in 2007 in Charleston, led by Earl D. Hewlette, a Columbia native with an MBA and law degree from the University of South Carolina. Hewlette serves as the company’s president and CEO.
