Charleston-based Benefitfocus, provider of health care and voluntary benefits software, today released an online video certification program that helps human resources and benefits experts, health care insurance professionals and consumers better understand national health care reform.
Professionals can use the free videos to learn more about the new law’s components, including provisions affecting employers, insurance carriers and consumers.
Participants can view the videos as many times as needed, and then answer a series of questions to test their knowledge and achieve certification in the Benefitfocus program.
“While we are focused on providing technology to help our customers comply with the latest regulations, our customers also need educational tools,” said Nancy Sansom, vice president of marketing and communications for Benefitfocus.
“Americans encounter differing opinions about the health care reform law every time they read the news,” Sansom said. “Our video-based health care reform certification program provides the facts that people need to be informed about the changing health care benefits landscape.”
