To commemorate the 2010 Spoleto Festival USA, Peninsula Grill is offering Il Spoletano, a specialty cocktail to be served throughout the festival.
The drink, made from 1 1/5 ounces of homemade Carolina peach puree and 3 ounces of Ruggeri prosecco, will be served through June 13 at the restaurant. Peninsula grill is also extending its hours for Spoleto and opening at 5 p.m. for dinner.

Manny’s Mediterranean Cafe is now open at the Markets at Montague in North Charleston. The fast-casual restaurant will serve made-to-order menu items. An official grand opening celebration will take place June 10 at 11 a.m. To commemorate the opening, Manny’s will give away a free gyro to the first 50 patrons that day.

King Street Marketing Group will present First Wednesday at Fish this week at Fish restaurant, 442 King St.
At the event, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., Tate Nation will present his second Piccolo Spoleto poster (pictured), Bing Pan of the College of Charleston’s Office of Tourism Analysis will profile the “new Charleston tourist” and King Street Marketing Group will introduce a new benefit designed to attract affluent locals to King Street and Charleston peninsula businesses.
In addition, the Spoleto Stroll is taking place Friday. Gallery Row and King Street will team up to feature music, art and events in the shops and galleries.
First Wednesday also coincides with Fish’s Wine Down Wednesday, which features half-price wine.

Normandy Farm Artisan Bakery is planning a new location on Johns Island. The bakery, at 3155-A Maybank Highway, will be a retail bakery similar to the current location in the South Windermere Shopping Center, featuring breads, pastries, coffees and other items.
The bakery is taking over the space formerly occupied by the Barton & Burwell hunting and fishing supply store.
