Political strategist to lead Charleston firm’s Washington office




Kevin Madden, who has served as press secretary and communications strategist for presidential candidate Mitt Romney and Congressman John Boehner, will be opening Jim Dyke & Associates new Washington office.

Political communications strategist Kevin Madden has been tapped by Jim Dyke & Associates to open its new office in Washington, D.C.

Madden joins the Charleston-based firm as partner and executive vice president of public affairs. He will direct operations in the firm’s D.C. office. Madden previously served as managing director of The Glover Park Group, a relationship that he will develop with JDA.

“Kevin’s leadership abilities and his reputation as a top strategist fit perfectly with our business model, offering organizations the experience, knowledge and creativity required to build, execute and then win public affairs campaigns,” President Jim Dyke said.

Madden has worked on several national political campaigns, including serving as press secretary and senior communications strategist for Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney’s 2008 presidential campaign. He has also worked as a press secretary to House Majority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio.
