FastTracSC launches statewide TechVenture classes for entrepreneurs




FastTracSC will take its award-winning entrepreneurial program, FastTrac TechVenture, to Aiken, Charleston, Columbia and Greenville from May to August to teach entrepreneurs how to maximize the potential of a new technology.

A economic development initiative is launching a statewide series of classes to help new entrepreneurs be successful in job and wealth creation.

FastTracSC will take its award-winning entrepreneurial program, FastTrac TechVenture, to Aiken, Charleston, Columbia and Greenville from May to August to teach entrepreneurs how to maximize the potential of a new technology.

FastTrac TechVenture is 30 hours of instruction over 10 modules around the state designed specifically for entrepreneurs in the fields of technology or life sciences. It focuses on the specific needs of these entrepreneurs.

The FastTracSC TechVenture classes will be held at the following locations:

Aiken:               May 20 -21 (Modules 1-3)

Charleston:       June 17-18 (Modules 4-6)

Greenville:         July 15-16 (Modules 7-9)

Columbia:         Aug. 19-20 (Module 10 with Graduation/Investor Presentations)  

Tuition is $595 and there is a hotel room rate of less than $100 per night available. All meals are included for the classes.

At the graduation ceremony on Aug. 20, graduates will have an opportunity to pitch their technology business to potential investors.
