Stone named Realtor of the Year

Alexander “Sandy” Stone was named 2009 Realtor of the Year by the Charleston Trident Association of Realtors.
Stone is an owner of Island Realty Inc. and has been in the real estate business for more than 25 years. He currently oversees and manages more than 500 vacation rental homes and 250 year-round rental homes.
He has served on the Resort and Second Home Committee of the National Association of Realtors for the past five years and as a director on the S.C. Association of Realtors board.
In 2006, Stone was the president of the Charleston Realtors association board of directors, and in 2002 he was president of the Charleston Trident Multiple Listing Service.
In addition, Stone was elected to the Isle of Palms City Council in November.

I work along side of Sandy Stone everyday and he is an incredible leader whose dedication, passion and intelligence are only a few of his many wonderful attributes. He is a pleasure!!!

It is wonderful to see someone with many many years experience and also a current business owner given this honor. He is involved, on a daily basis, with issues facing many Realtors today and knows the struggles they face. Also having recently been elected to the Isle of Palms City Council shows that the community supports him and appreciates the knowledge he brings to the community. You couldn't have chosen a better individual for this honor.

Congratulations to Sandy on such we deserved recognition! I can tell you from personal experience that Sandy is a top-notch guy, which naturally explains why his company, Island Realty, is such a great company. It's all about people and taking care of them. Sandy knows this and lives it every day.
