Richard Karlgaard, publisher of Forbes magazine, will be the keynote speaker at the S.C. Chamber of Commerce’s 30th annual summit, titled South Carolina Business: Leading the Economic Evolution.

The annual summit, presented by Milliken & Co., is slated to run from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Nov. 12 at Wild Dunes on the Isle of Palms.

Karlgaard will speak at 7 p.m. He writes a column featured in each issue of Forbes that focuses on technology, entrepreneurship, regional and economic development, and the future of business and work.

The S.C. Chamber’s annual summit banquet also will honor Emerson Gower, recently retired executive of Progress Energy, as South Carolina’s Business Leader of the Year, as well as South Carolina’s Public Servant of the Year, Dr. Barry Russell, president of the S.C. Technical College System.
