Seats are still available for this week’s business summit in Columbia that will explore how South Carolina can prosper over the next four years.
The 2009 Carolina Business and Economic Summit, sponsored by the Carolina Business Review public TV program, will feature information and analysis from the top business minds in South Carolina.
It will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the ETV Telecommunications Center, 1041 George Rogers Blvd. in Columbia. Seating is limited to 150 audience members, and attendance is free.
Panelists include:
- Darla Moore, The Palmetto Institute.
- Harris Deloach, Sonoco Products Co.
- Ed Sellers, BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina.
- Bill Timmerman, SCANA Corp.
Topics include:
- The overall economy and the current business environment.
- Economic development.
- Work force development and education.
Carolina Business Review said the summit will explore the dramatic gap between the perception of how the public sees the economy and how business executives view these same problems.
