Our Local Foods is sponsoring a nonprofit called Adaptive Gardens of the Lowcountry.

Located at Thornhill Farm in McClellanville, the group raises local produce and meat and employs special needs individuals.

It will be a destination farm store that will offer free-range chicken and eggs, organic vegetables, grass-fed beef, pastured lamb and more that will be packaged for families of four. It will also have locally produced pasta, sauces, soups and coffee as well as crafts made by the special needs children in the program.

In addition to the store, Our Local Foods is offering two delivery options. Customers can choose between the weekly delivery of produce from the CSA program. The CSA lasts six weeks and customers receive about 10 pounds of produce each week.

The other option is through the Kitchen Table Cuisine program. Everything in the store and locally made breads is available online. Customers can order food the first week of the month and have orders delivered 10 to 12 days later at a location close to their home.
