A business summit next month in Columbia exploring how South Carolina can prosper over the next four years will feature information and analysis from the top business minds in South Carolina.
The 2009 Carolina Business and Economic Summit, sponsored by the Carolina Business Review public TV program, will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 4 at the ETV Telecommunications Center at 1041 George Rogers Blvd. in Columbia.
Panelists include:
- Darla Moore, The Palmetto Institute.
- Harris Deloach, Sonoco Products Co.
- Ed Sellers, BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina.
- Bill Timmerman, SCANA Corp.
Topics include:
- The overall economy and the current business environment.
- Economic development.
- Work force development and education.
The Carolina Business Review said the summit will explore the dramatic gap between the perception of how the public sees the economy and how business executives view these same problems.
