Columbia Regional Business Report holding Energy Summit next week

Leaders from across the Southeast are gathering this month in Columbia for a daylong summit on energy and innovation.

The Energy Summit kicks off the Power Breakfast Series for the Columbia Regional Business Report and will include panel discussions from CEOs, policymakers, industry experts and researchers who are on the cutting edge of energy innovation and business.

The event lasts to 4 p.m., starting with networking, breakfast and exhibitions at 8 a.m., on Oct. 27 at Embassy Suites Columbia – Greystone. Go online to see the agenda and to purchase tickets.

The Energy Summit begins at 9 a.m. with a CEO panel discussion, including the following industry leaders:

  • Lonnie Carter, Santee Cooper president and CEO.
  • Lloyd Yates, Progress Energy Carolinas president and CEO.
  • Brett Carter, Duke Energy Carolinas president.
  • Jeff Archie, S.C. Electric & Gas senior vice president for nuclear operations.

Other panels will focus on energy policy, end users (business and industry) and nuclear and alternative energy.
