The Old South Barber Spa has opened at 10 State St. in downtown Charleston. The spa offers services tailored for men, including hairstyling, old-fashioned blade shaves, massages, manicures, pedicures, facials, hair removal and shoeshine.

Other amenities include choice of technicians, private spa areas, valet parking, Wi-Fi connections and flat panel televisions tuned into sports and business news.

“We wanted to create a destination where men could take a break from their busy schedules, unwind and feel comfortable in a setting tailored exclusively to them,” said Joe Spector, managing partner.

Services are available a la carte or through membership packages. Appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome. Hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays. For more information, call 843-727-4646.
