The S.C. Research Authority has announced two life sciences events to be held later this year in Greenville and Charleston.
The fifth annual SC MedTech Conference, a program for biomedical entrepreneurship, will take place Nov. 5 in Greenville.
The program focuses on creation and growth of biomedical business opportunities. The session is the annual one-stop shop for meeting and connecting with biomedical, clinical and regulatory professionals, including technical entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, academics and intellectual property attorneys.
The program will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Westin Poinsett Hotel in downtown Greenville. Register online.
SCRA also announced that the 11th annual Southeastern BIO Investor Forum will be held Dec. 3-4 at Charleston Place Hotel.
The life sciences venture capital conference connects emerging life science companies with potential investors.
The forum attracts more than 400 attendees, including investors from the Southeast and around the world. It showcases 30 emerging life sciences companies and more than 40 Bio/Plan competitors, ranging from seed stage through mezzanine and covering the life sciences spectrum.
Presenting companies have raised more than $2.5 billion since 1999.
The forum rotates among locations throughout the Southeast. It was last held in Charleston in 2005.
