S.C. Bar offers four pro bono legal clinics in Charleston

Local attorneys will offer four free legal clinics in Charleston this month, covering employment law, criminal law and heirs property issues.

Anyone can attend the clinics, which are a public service of the S.C. Bar Pro Bono Program. The bar regularly offers free legal clinics around the state.

Most clinics include a 30- to 45-minute lecture, followed by a question-and-answer session or five-minute one-on-one sessions with an attorney.

  • Timothy C. Kulp will discuss criminal law issues from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Oct. 13 at the John L. Dart Library, 1067 King St., Charleston.
  • Allan R. Holmes will discuss employment law from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 15 at the Otranto Road Regional Library, 2261 Otranto Road, North Charleston.
  • Stephan V. Futeral will discuss employment law from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Oct. 17 at the John L. Dart Library, 1067 King St., Charleston.
  • Willie B. Heywood will discuss heirs property issues from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 22 at the John’s Island Regional Library, 3531 Maybank Highway.
