Charleston Crafts has moved into a new location at 161 Church St. It is moving from its previous location on Hasell Street, where it had been for the past 11 years. The new gallery is across from Tommy Condon’s restaurant and near South Market Street.



On Thursdays, Shopping Bag provides the latest news about retail business openings, significant changes to existing retail businesses, shopping trends or details about unique product offerings. Submissions should be sent to dailyjournal@scbiznews.com.

Clothing boutique Thera M. is hosting an open house tonight from 4 to 7 p.m. at its location in The Shops at Daniel Island. The boutique will have wine and tapas, and patrons will receive 20% off any new merchandise.

Charleston Crafts Cooperative & Gallery has moved into a new location at 161 Church St.

It is moving from its previous location on Hasell Street, where it had been for the past 11 years. The new gallery is across from Tommy Condon’s restaurant and near South Market Street.

The larger space will display South Carolina’s homemade crafts, such as pottery, corn husk dolls, stained glass, straw baskets, among other crafts.

Charleston Crafts will be participating in the next French Quarter Art Walk, which takes place Friday Oct. 2 from 5 to 8 p.m.

Charleston Crafts is the city’s oldest fine craft cooperative.

Seeking Indigo is throwing a grand opening party from 5 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 15 in conjunction with the Upper King Street Design Walk.

The new 6,000 square-foot space, located at 445 King St., combines a retail store with a wellness center.

The retail part will have handpicked global and local items, such as antique Indonesian pavilions, Moroccan lanterns, original art, a bamboo yoga clothing line and vintage vespas.

On the other side of the space, a wellness center will have a pilates center, a café with raw and organic food from The Sprout, a massage center and a hyperbaric oxygen chamber.
