Well, the surf has been pretty minimal all week. Of course, there’s always something to ride depending upon how desperate you are. I can really notice the days getting shorter now, which portends the end of after-work sessions.

The final nail in that coffin will be the time change at the end of October. Having said all that, I still didn’t even get wet all week. That, plus a very hectic workweek, is going to make this a very short blog.

Making it even shorter is the outlook for surf this weekend. Swell models are showing a small swell continuing through the weekend. But as I write this, the wind prediction looks like the wind will switch somewhere early Sunday morning and blow out of the SW. So I think Sunday will be even worse than Saturday, unless you have a kiteboard; if so, then have at it. For us mortals on traditional boards, Saturday looks to be the cleaner of the two days. Low tide is early, so don’t see much reason to try to get out there for a dawn patrol. Maybe midtide coming in, say 10:00 or so, will be the call. See you in the water.
