Force Protection awarded $8M contract modification from Marine Corps

The U.S. Marine Corps has awarded Force Protection Industries Inc. a contract modification in the amount of $8,098,360.

According to a news release, the original contract was for the purchase of field service representative support for Force Protection’s mine-resistant, ambush-protected Cougar vehicles.

Work will be performed in Operation Enduring Freedom locations, which are mainly focused in Afghanistan. The contract will expire at the end of the current fiscal year, and the work is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2010.
