The Charleston Arts Coalition and the Tate Center for Entrepreneurship at the College of Charleston are hosting a town hall meeting called “Nursing Creativity Through the Economic Slump.”
The meeting, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Aug. 25, is open to any creative person in Charleston who wants to share ideas and bring awareness to the significance of the area’s creative cluster.
Panelists include:
- Ellen Dressler Moryl, director of the city of Charleston’s Office of Cultural Affairs.
- Mark Sloan, curator at the College of Charleston’s Halsey Institute.
- Karen Chandler, co-founder of Charleston Jazz Initiative and arts management professor at the College of Charleston.
- Sharon Gracie, artistic director and co-founder of PURE Theatre.
The meeting will be held at the College of Charleston’s Wachovia Auditorium in the Beatty Center, located at 5 Liberty St.
