Butterfly Women’s Consignment Boutique has opened a second location on Upper King Street, at 482 King St.

The shop offers high-end, couture and mall-brand clothing, shoes and purses at discounted prices. It has focused on using social media including Facebook and Twitter to promote its merchandise and communicate with its customers.

Shoppers can also bring in their in-season items for resale.

The store is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and free parking is available on the corner lot at Mary and King streets.

Bella Bridesmaid, launched in Charleston in 2007, is in its third year and is continuing to grow. The boutique attributes part of its success to the versatility of the bridesmaid dresses it sells.

Co-owner Allison Long says the dresses are modern and wearable after the wedding is over. It carries lines such as Jenny Yoo, Amsale, Priscilla of Boston, Melissa Sweet, Queue, Nicole Miller and LulaKate. It also offers flower girl dresses that can be worn again as well.
