A series of free seminars sponsored by the University of South Carolina’s Moore School of Business will focus on how companies can do business with the federal government.

Attendees can learn which products and services are purchased by the military and large contractors in South Carolina; learn the steps necessary for participation in government contracting; identify bid opportunities using the Internet; and identify points of contact for marketing of products and services.

The seminars also will explore small business set-aside programs for businesses owned by minorities, women, veterans and businesses in historically underutilized business zones.

The seminars will be held from 9-11:30 a.m. the third Thursday of every month, starting June 18, on the fifth floor of the Bank of America Building, at 5900 Core Road in North Charleston. Registration is required but there is no cost to attend. The seminars are partially funded by the U.S. Small Business Administration.
