The Make-A-Wish Foundation of South Carolina hosted its annual Wine Festival at Freshfields Village on May 2 and raised more than $30,000.
The event brought together more than 300 wine lovers and 85 select wines for a fundraiser to grant the wishes of Lowcountry children who are suffering from life-threatening medical conditions. One of the wishes granted at the event was from Allyson, an 8-year-old from Moncks Corner, who will travel to Disney World with her family this month.
Some of the items auctioned during the wine festival included a trip for two to San Francisco and Sonoma, Calif., and a private wine tasting for 12 people.
