Rachel-Levkowicz Age: 25

  • Manager of Health Education, the National Association for Continence
  • Primarily responsible for keeping up with latest management and treatment technology for incontinence and related pelvic floor disorders. Often travels the country to exhibit at professional conferences and to speak to the public and clinicians about diagnosis, treatment and management of these conditions.
  • Writes a newsletter for health care professionals and supervises the clinical review of NAFC’s electronic and printed educational materials.
  • Manages NAFC’s Web site and participates in consumer research activities that NAFC undertakes, such as nationwide surveys and focus groups.
  • Helped organize NAFC’s biggest series event to date: A women’s educational forum, continuing medical education course for primary care physicians and a gala celebrating NAFC’s 25th anniversary.

Community involvement

  • Volunteer, Lunch Buddy at Fraser Elementary School.
  • Founded the annual science fair at Fraser and continues to write grants to seek funding to cover the costs of experiments. Also recruits College of Charleston students to serve as mentors for Fraser Elementary students.
  • Member, Charleston Horticultural Society and her neighborhood civic club.
