Summerville Medical Center has promoted Lynn Haney-Singleton to chief nursing officer. Singleton was the hospital’s associate chief nursing officer.
Trident Medical Center has promoted April Reeder to vice president of operations. Reeder had been assistant vice president of operations.
SGA Architecture LLC has hired Marissa Lehigh and Robert Lucas as project managers. Lehigh, who was an architectural assistant at Ian Springford Architects in Edinburgh, Scotland, specializes in multi-family residential and hospitality architecture. Lucas, who has more than seven years’ experience in the architectural profession, specializes in custom residential and commercial architecture.
Mark Davis has joined Berenyi Inc. as a civil engineer and is designing and planning land development. David Bordner has joined the firm as a landscape architect intern.
Margaret Wilson Sembos has joined Kestrel Horizons LLC’s Charleston office. She is a registered professional engineer with more than nine years’ experience. Previously, Sembos was employed with Wilbur Smith & Associates in Columbia.
LS3P Associates has promoted Denise Partridge to principal and Uai Godwin to associate principal. In their new posts they also become shareholders in the company. LS3P named Gretchen Naylor, Jennifer Kerl-Schutte, Julia Hall, Katie Schroer, Lauren Sanchez, Nathan Schutte, Scott Sampson, and Susan Burke as senior associates and Chuck Ciesar, Crystal McGuire, David Ramey, Jeff Saunders, and Melanie Vanderwege as associates.
Aireen Bentley has joined Goff-D’Antonio Associates as an intern architect.
Kaliburn has hired John Tutino as senior account manager. Tutino is responsible for increasing sales of the company’s plasma cutting systems by identifying new business opportunities, establishing profitable partnerships and fostering existing customer relationships.
American LaFrance LLC’s parent company, Patriarch Partners Management Group, has hired Bill Hinz as the managing director and leader for the aero, auto and truck platform, which includes American LaFrance, Global Automotive Systems and MD Helicopters. Hinz is responsible for the daily operations at American LaFrance and the senior staff reports directly to him. Hinz spent almost 30 years at Allied Signal where he served as the president of Worldwide Aftermarket Repair and Overhaul and Distribution as well as president and CEO of European Operations.
Briggs Industries Inc. has hired Brian Harris as business unit director for Sayco and accessories lines.
Maureen Sheridan has joined Charlestowne Hotels as the general manager of the King Charles Inn. Sheridan has more than 20 years’ experience in the hotel industry.
Kate Myers has accepted the group sales manager position at Middleton Place. Myers most recently worked as the catering sales manager for the Denver Athletic Club.
WCSC-TV has added Anthony Miller and Sheldon Dutes to its Live 5 News team. Miller serves as weekend anchor and supports the news team during the week; Dutes is reporting on a variety of issues in and around the Charleston area.
Lyn Mettler, owner of Mettler Public Relations, and Bud Di Maggio and Simon Ashton, co-owners of Internet marketing firm the SIMS Agency, have launched Step Ahead Web Strategies.

Josh Marthers has been named WCBD-TV’s weekday morning meteorologist. Marthers joined News 2 in May 2007 after forecasting weather in Roanoke, Va., and in the Upstate of South Carolina.
WCIV-TV has hired James Church as vice president for news and operations. Church oversees both the news department and the technical infrastructure for the station. Church comes to WCIV from WJLA-TV, a sister station in Washington, D.C., where he served as vice president for station operations and technology.
U.S. Trust Bank of America Private Wealth Management’s Charleston office has hired Cynthia Legette as relationship manager, Meghan Stein-Webster as trust officer and Paul Kitchin and Peggy Richardson as private client consultants.
Jay McCown has accepted the position as relationship manager at the Marion Square branch of First Citizens Bancorporation. McCown is responsible for anticipating and meeting the needs of consumer and small business customers.
Carolina First has promoted W. Dixon Woodward to senior vice president. Woodward joined the bank in October 1998 and had been the South Coast market president.
South Carolina Federal Credit Union has hired R. Patrick Flynn as a volunteer adviser.
Southcoast Community Bank has promoted Lynda Boals to assistant vice president of the Johns Island office and Marc Knight to branch executive of the Goose Creek office. Boals has been with the bank for six years, and Knight has eight years’ banking experience.
BB&T has promoted Craig W. Hopkins to assistant vice president. Hopkins, who joined the bank in 2004, is a financial center leader in BB&T’s Banking Network on Meeting Street.
Steven McGinnis has been promoted to vice president of finance at South Carolina Federal Credit Union. McGinnis joined the credit union in 2000 and was previously a finance manager.
Tire & Auto Specialists has promoted Shanea Perritt to general manager. Perritt is responsible for shop management and customer service.
