Bryan Finch has joined Chastain Construction as a superintendent and Belinda Cook has joined as an executive assistant. Finch has more than 10 years in the construction industry. Cook is a licensed real estate agent.

 

Mashburn Construction Co. Inc. has hired Rob Hamill as a project engineer in its Charleston office.

 

The Charleston area division of Ryland Homes has hired two staff members: Tammie M. Phillips and Tracy Mabe. Phillips has been hired as a sales assistant at Pembroke at Park West. Mabe has been hired as a sales assistant at Brickhope Plantation in Goose Creek.

 

C. Matthew Slocum has joined Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd’s Charleston office as an associate attorney. Previously, Slocum was affiliated with Tomlin & Co. Inc., an investment banking and venture capitalist firm in South Carolina.

 

Attorney Brandt R. Horton has joined Young Clement Rivers LLP as an associate in the Charleston Office.

 

Erin Hantske has joined McAngus Goudelock & Courie LLC’s Charleston office. Hantske practices workers’ compensation defense.

 

Amanda C. Williams has joined Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP’s Charleston office litigation department.

 

Ken Harrell has been elected as the managing partner of Joye Law Firm LLP. Harrell has practiced law with the Joye Law Firm for 14 years, managing the workers’ compensation and pharmaceutical product liability departments.

 

Three associates have joined Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough’s Charleston office: Tiarna Harman, Karen D. Wilson and Michelle C. Wise.

 

Brooks Derrick and Keith R. Thornburg Jr. have become associates at Nexsen Pruet’s Charleston office.

Beth Bird of Coldwell Banker Coastal Properties has been promoted to sales manager of the management team in Mount Pleasant. As a past business owner and an East Cooper Top Producer Agent, Bird brings years of real estate sales experience to the position.

Chase Early has joined Century 21 Properties Plus Inc. as a broker associate and real estate agent in the Mount Pleasant office. Early began his real estate career with Sandlapper Real Estate Group.

 

The Southern Shores Real Estate Group has hired Shalyn Howard to the Charleston office. Howard specializes in investment real estate.

 

Michael Elmore and Josh Silverman have founded Southland Development Services.

Old Village Post House, a property of Maverick Southern Kitchens Inc., has hired three new members to the management team: Lee Cohen, general manager; Sarah Elliott, restaurant manager; and Jim Walker, sous chef.

 

Suzie Allen and Chef Jason Dalter have opened Ladles, a soup and sandwich shop in West Ashley.

 

Anthony Pugh has opened Wine Awhile, a Mount Pleasant wine shop at the intersection of U.S. Highway 17 and S.C. Highway 41.

 

Sienna Restaurant on Daniel Island has hired Caitlin Kelly as a pastry chef. Previously, Kelly was the head pastry chef at Vidalia Restaurant in Washington, D.C.

 

Harry Trautman has joined Trident United Way as a finance associate. He is responsible for payroll and check distribution to designated agencies and funded partners.

 

Marlene Gaillard has accepted the position of director of operations at East Cooper Meals on Wheels. She joined the staff after leaving Pension Systems Inc. in Charleston. A Meals on Wheels volunteer since 1999, Marlene served on the board of directors from 2001 to 2003. 

 

The S.C. World Trade Center has hired Belinda Davis as the new executive director. Lisa Callihan, previously managing director for the center, has become the director of education.

 

Heather Vanscyoc has joined The Education Foundation as executive assistant. Vanscyoc will assist the foundation’s executive director with development, promotion and management of sponsorship and other foundation activities and the development of grant proposals. Prior to joining The Education Foundation, Vanscyoc worked at CGI-AMS in Fairfax, Va., as a human resources specialist.

 

Javonna Mitchell has joined the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce as staff accountant in the finance department. Prior to working at the chamber, Mitchell worked in the Town of Mount Pleasant finance department.

 

Glenda Inabinet has accepted the position of Trident One Stop Career System director. Inabinet will provide oversight and management of the region’s work force development system funded by the Workforce Investment Act and delivered through the Trident One-Stop Career System under the authority of the Trident Workforce Investment Board.

 

The Summerville Family YMCA has promoted Jonathan Lewellyn to senior programming director at Oakbrook and Tamara Koellner to membership services director at the H.P. Compton Wellness Center.

 

Arcadis has hired Jennifer Hayes as a structural engineer in the Charleston office where she is providing detailed engineering services to clients ranging from historic renovation to industrial development.

 

CEMS Engineering Inc. has promoted Hugh Giggleman and Scott Perkins. Giggleman has accepted the position of president for the firm, and he will be responsible for the overall corporate operations and new business development. Perkins has accepted the position of senior vice president, and he will be responsible for project production coordination and corporate financials. Henry Bongiorno, senior principal and co-founder, has become the firm’s CEO and will be responsible for special project management. Ronald Sprovero, senior principal and co-founder, has become the firm’s board chairman and director of Department of Defense new business development.
