Jim Henderson joined Pearlstine Distributor Inc. as a district area manager. Prior to moving to the Lowcountry, Henderson worked in the beer wholesaler industry for 12 years.
MeadWestvaco Corp. hired Kenneth T. Seeger as senior vice president and president of MeadWestvacos Community Development and Land Management Group. Seeger will be based in Summerville and will report to John A. Luke Jr., MeadWestvaco chairman and CEO.
Finance
James M. Holland was promoted to market president for Regions Bank in Charleston. He will be responsible for commercial relationship building in the area. Holland, with 24 years of commercial and corporate banking experience, has been with Regions Bank in Charleston since 1996, serving as senior commercial lender and sales manager.
Rory G. Parsley was promoted to financial center manager at First Federal on Harborview Road, James Island. She has been with First Federal for 28 years and was previously the assistant financial center manager at the Folly Road office. Karen Barrett joined the commercial lending division at First Federal as a commercial loan officer. She serves the business communities of West Ashley, James Island and the Charleston peninsula.
Dixon Hughes PLLC promoted Marie Parnell and Jeremy Gilbert. Parnell was promoted to senior tax associate and Gilbert was promoted to senior associate in the audit department.
Carolina First promoted Drew Holst to banking officer. Holst joined Carolina First in September 2005 and is currently a branch manager on James Island. Prior to joining Carolina First, he was employed as branch manager for QC Holdings.
Lane LaCorte was promoted to assistant vice president at First Citizens. LaCorte is responsible for business development along with consumer and small business lending at the Folly Road branch. LaCorte joined First Citizens in January 2005. Charles Dew joined First Citizens as a commercial credit analyst in Charleston. Anne Esposito, a relationship manager in Charleston, was promoted to assistant vice president. Esposito is responsible for business development along with consumer and small business lending at the Charleston main branch.
Jason Biggs was promoted to assistant vice president at the Johnnie Dodds Boulevard branch. Biggs, who joined First Citizens in June 2006, is responsible for business development along with consumer and small business lending. Doug Deloache was promoted to vice president at First Citizens U.S. Highway 17 North branch in Mount Pleasant. He is responsible for business development and consumer and business loans. Jack Meyer was promoted to branch officer. He joined the bank in October 2005.
Tidelands Bank hired Thomas H. Lyles as executive vice president and chief administrative officer. Lyles will oversee several departments at Tidelands Bank, including branch administration, human resources, marketing, deposit and loan operations and retail banking. Lyles has more than 30 years of banking experience.
B. Perry Woodside III, joined Dixon Hughes PLLC as director. Prior to joining the firm, Woodside was a professor in the College of Charleston School of Business.
Ellen Williams joined South Carolina Bank and Trust as manager of the new Broad Street office in downtown Charleston. Prior to joining SCBT, Williams worked in mortgage, loan administration and customer service.
Transportation
Superior Transportation Inc. promoted Lawrence Puckhaber to vice president. Puckhaber began his career at Superior eight years ago as a dispatcher.
Consulting
Richard P. Moore joined Kestrel Horizons LLC as a partner in the firm. He is based in Kestrels new office in Charleston. Moore has 20 years experience in environmental consulting.

Obie Morant joined Glasspro and will manage the companys Goose Creek car wash at 608 St. James Ave. Morant is responsible for all car wash operations and customer service. Prior to joining Glasspro, Morant owned and operated a retail store and worked in the entertainment industry.
Planning the Globe hired Alexandra Haynes. She has 10 years of event planning experience
in New York with Merrill Lynch, ING Financial Markets and UBS Investment Bank.
The Charleston Shucker Co. opened in Mount Pleasant and specializes in personalized, engraved oyster knives. Owner Lindsey Ballenger established the Web-based business.
Stella Nova Spa Salon of Summerville promoted Amber Thompson to creative stylist and Luanne Smith to senior stylist. Stella Nova Spa Salon of Mount Pleasant named Carrie Busch as its retail manager and promoted Jennifer Ward and Jessalyn Horner to senior stylists and Robin Harris to master stylist.
Laura Kate Whitney was hired as the director of national sales & marketing of The Lettered Olive. Most recently, she led the design efforts for Stephen Duvall Décor as well as Hartmann StudiosInc., an event production company in Atlanta, Ga. Whitneys responsibilities will include sales on local, regional and national levels, client management and strategic marketing.
Ralph B. Dandridge joined Color Wheel Paints of Orlando, Fla., as district sales manager for South Carolina. He has more than 33 years of experience in the textile and painting industry.
Sara Catherine Davis joined Zafari as a sales and marketing intern.
Keep It Clean named Suzannah Gonzalez Bell executive assistant. She will manage the companys office, as well as all of the companys sales. Before working with Keep It Clean, Bell worked for Diatech USA.
A&E Digital Printing hired Michael Nguyen as head of the Graphic Design Department. Formerly with Broad Street Printing, Nguyen has seven years experience in graphic design, signage, press and print-on-demand.
Aio Design hired Amy Redfield as its studio director. Redfield is responsible for the smooth running of the design studio, including project and account management, oversight of the prepress production process, business matters such as strategic planning and finance, technical and business writing, and fulfillment of junior design responsibilities. Prior to joining Aio Design, Redfield was a member of Dixon Hughes PLLCs Summerville team.
Architecture & engineering
S&ME named two new vice presidents to the Charleston offices board of directors: William Billy Camp, a senior geotechnical engineer and technical principal, and James Killingsworth, a certified hazardous materials manager who heads the branchs environmental department.
CRG Engineering Inc. of North Charleston hired Elizabeth DeLoach and Kevin McCray. DeLoach joined the firm as marketing coordinator. She has more than 18 years of experience in sales, marketing and business development. McCray was hired as an electrical designer.
Seamon Whiteside & Associates hired Meredith Beardon to the Mount Pleasant Landscape Architecture Department. Beardon formerly worked for DesignWork.
New business
The Olson Law Firm opened two new offices in the Charleston area. The main office is located in a 2,300-square-foot building on Long Point Road in the Moultrie Office Park. The satellite office will be on James Island at 2043 Maybank Highway.
Charleston native Dixon F. Pearce II opened Pearce Law Firm LLC at 1971 Riviera Drive in Mount Pleasant. The practice will focus on all aspects of real estate transactions to include residential, commercial and development matters. Diane Seigel has joined the firm as an associate attorney. Kelley Sassard Suhr and Michelle R. Emrick joined as real estate closers.
Randy and Lisa Cable opened Charlestons Land & Sea Market located in Mount Pleasant Towne Centre next to Lowes. Brian Meyer will be the manager and head butcher. Formerly, Meyer worked for New York Butcher Shoppe for eight years. The store offers gourmet products and catering.
Law
Motley Rice LLC promoted Alicia G. Ward to marketing and communications director. Since joining Motley Rice in 2004 as marketing manager, Ward helped create and develop the marketing and communications department, demonstrating leadership with the firms media relations, marketing collateral, special events, community involvement and employee relations.
The Hood Law Firm LLC announced the following new associates: C. Tyson Nettles, practicing in construction litigation, environmental claims, insurance law, toxic torts, civil and commercial litigation and products liability; and Christina M. Dickinson, practicing in professional liability with emphasis in medical malpractice, general negligence, commercial litigation and products liability, including pharmaceutical and medical devices.

Robert Bolus joined Coastal Training Consultants as a trades instructor and certified home energy rater. Previously, Bolus was an instructor in the construction trades program at Trident Technical College.
Southland Landscape Corp. promoted Chad Ragan to maintenance operations manager. Prior to his promotion, Ragan was maintenance account manager for the Warner Robins-Byron area. Southland hired Stan Sullivan as director of business development, Pablo Catala as construction operations manager and Chris Barnes as director of marketing at the Branch Support Center in Charleston.
Real estate
First Realty of Charleston hired Randal G. Randy Maatta as business operations manager for the firm. Maatta will direct the building of a new headquarters, the opening of new branch offices throughout the region, the branding and marketing of a new corporate name and brand, and the eventual addition of a commercial real estate division. Maatta rejoins First Realty after a one-year sabbatical, in which he ran for Congress in 2006.
Mount Pleasant Towne Centre hired Jay Harper as general manager for the shopping center, and Kristi Tolley as marketing manager.
Roxanna Morey joined The Real Buyers Agent in Mount Pleasant as the new client care coordinator. Previously, Morey worked as marketing/leads department manager for Global Mortgage Group.
IOn Group promoted Mark Lipsmeyer, formerly the vice president of IOn Build, to chief operating officer for IOn Group, and hired Kimber McFadden as the new vice president of sales and marketing. Lipsmeyer joined the IOn Group in 2005. McFadden, who has 17 years of experience in the new homes industry, directs all sales and marketing efforts for IOn Realty and IOn Groups new communities.
Taylor-Parker Real Estate Group hired B. Renee Steger and Jaime Owens at its North Charleston location. Both have extensive backgrounds as legal assistants and will specialize in foreclosures, investors and residential real estate.
Summer Mattison joined the Dunes Properties vacation rental team. She comes to Dunes with four years of property management experience in the Charleston area. Mattison will be focusing on the Isle of Palms and Wild Dunes communities.
Tara Richardson joined the new East Cooper office of William Means Real Estate. Richardson has more than 10 years of real estate experience and was recognized in 2006 as selling several of the top 10 most expensive homes in Mount Pleasant.
