LOCAL GROUPS WORK TOGETHER TO REPAINT HOUSE
Four Lowcountry nonprofit organizations, Charleston Area Community Development Corp., the Noisette Foundation, His Way Ministry Civic Justice Corps and S.C. SUMMERVILLE RESIDENT TRAVELS TO NASHVILLE FOR HABITAT PROJECT
Summervilles Jerry Hemmelgarn traveled to Nashville, Tenn., in early November along with nearly 300 volunteers nationwide to help construct 10 Habitat for Humanity houses in one week on one block. The event was the inaugural Whirlpool Building Blocks project, designed to help eliminate substandard housing in the United States.
