Simon is the human resources and quality control administrator. He previously worked for the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce.
Jim Gerow has joined Northside Nissan as general manager. He was previously a managing partner with the dealership from 1997-1999.
John Durkee has been promoted to office manager for the Charleston branch of Environmental Resources Management. Durkee is a licensed environmental engineer with more than 14 years of industrial, regulatory and consulting experience.
Greg Hider and Chad Hendrix have joined the engineering staff at Charleston Water System. Hider previously spent five years with the Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southern Division in Charleston. Hendrix previously worked in Greenwood as the district engineer for DHECs Region 1 Environmental Quality Control Office.
John Ciccarelli has joined LS3P Associates Ltd. as studio leader for LS3Ps Community Studio where he will concentrate on education work. He was previously with McKellar & Associates for nine years.
Barbara Johnson and Stuart Rumph have joined Seabrook Island Real Estate as sales agents. Both previously worked for Disher, Hamrick and Meyers Residential Inc. Johnson has more than 16 years of real estate sales experience. Rumph has previous experience as a boat captain.
Teena Williams-Martindale and Sara Perry have been promoted by the Charleston Trident Association of Realtors. The association also hired Sara Connie. Williams-Martindale is now the executive director of the multiple listing service. Perry is now vice president of operations. Connie is the project and events coordinator.
Kimberly Ball has joined Atlantic Island Properties. She previously worked as vice president of operations for a meeting management firm working with hotels and resorts.

Fitzpatrick previously worked as a legislative reporter for Georgia Public Broadcasting and was a radio personality for 100.7 FM in Augusta, Ga.
