Glasspro Inc. hired Melinda Boggs as a customer service representative in its customer call center. Previously, Boggs was an office manager in the insurance industry and also had administrative positions with Piggly Wiggly and Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla.
Benjamin D. Bair joined General Engineering & Environmental LLC as a consulting technician in the soil and groundwater group. Bair previously was an environmental health manager for the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control in Columbia, S.C.

Seamon, Whiteside & Associates Inc. added three employees to its staff. William O'Neal joined the civil engineering department as project coordinator. He is a 2004 graduate of Clemson University with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering. Susan Wilkens joins the landscape architecture department as a land planner. She previously was with Dix Lathrop and Associates in Orlando, Fla. Sally Deierlein also joins the landscape architecture department as a land planner. She is a recent graduate of the College of Charleston with a bachelor's degree in historic preservation and community planning.
Life Cycle Engineering hired Buddy Wrenn and Brandon Weil. Wrenn joins the industrial division as a senior consultant. He has more than 30 years of experience in maintenance and engineering. Weil is a planning and scheduling consultant. He recently separated from the U.S. Navy after six years as a nuclear electrician.
Classic Remodeling and Construction Inc. hired Christie Dion, Andy Shealy and Darrel Watkins. Dion has 10 years experience in home design and remodeling of retail stores. Shealy is a design associate, assisting with plan drawings, design details, research and customer service. He previously managed a sign and graphics company in Atlanta. Watkins is an estimator/production coordinator. He formerly worked as a self-employed carpenter.
Alan Purvis was made an associate in the firm of Goff-D'Antonio Associates. He has a master's degree in architecture from Col-umbia University in New York and an undergraduate degree from Kansas State University.
Life Cycle Engineering added Lewis Hall, Tim Thibodeaux, and Juan "Johnny" Maldonado to its staff. Hall is materials solutions consultant. He has 20 years of industrial materials management experience. Thibodeaux is planning and scheduling consultant. He has 15 years of industrial maintenance experience in the chemical industry in planning and scheduling and work process implementation. Maldonado is senior consultant. He has more than 12 years of experience in manufacturing and maintenance systems.
New Business
Thomas Jeffrey launched Up + Atom, a copywriting and creative services boutique. Jeffrey has spent the last 12 years at various advertising agencies in Atlantic City, Philadelphia and Boise. He created ad campaigns for such brands as Sunoco Gasoline, Hewlett-Packard, CertainTeed and Tastykake.
Jennifer and David Poole opened a Molly Maid franchise, serving Charleston County. David Poole is a former executive with MeadWestvaco, and Jennifer Poole has worked in customer service for Carlson Wagonlit Travel, Reynolds and Reynolds and MeadWestvaco.
Renew You LLC/The Barber Medical Institute established Charles-ton's first age management medical practice. Dr. Michale Barber is a board certified anesthesiologist and is certified in age management medicine.
HDR, an architecture, engineering and consulting firm, opened a new South Carolina office at 2000 Sam Rittenberg Blvd.
Boldstrokes Ltd., a faux finishing, murals and graphic design business from the Washington, D.C., area has located at 18 E. Elliott St. in Charleston. The business is owned by Julie Caine Brooks, who has 15 years of graphic design and decorative wall painting experience.

Carl Raymond Wright joined Inland & Marine Insurance Group LLC as a commercial insurance producer. He is a 2003 graduate of The Citadel.
Travel
Abbott & Hill Travel hired Dalia Keck as a travel consultant, specializing in cruises and travel to the Caribbean, Europe and Canada. Keck was born in the Caribbean and speaks fluent Spanish. She has experience in the travel industry and worked for several airlines, including 22 years with US Airways.
Jim Flynn joined OpenVision.com as an account executive responsible for developing the Charleston market. OpenVision.com specializes in Web site search engine optimization for the hospitality/tourism, golf and real estate markets. OpenVision.com plans to open a Charleston office this spring. Flynn previously was the director of sales and marketing for the Marriott Renaissance Hotel and has 20 years of hospitality sales and marketing experience.
SunCom promoted Doug McCrabb from executive area director to area vice president of sales. He will manage all sales operations for SunCom in South Carolina and Georgia. McCrabb has more than 18 years of experience in the wireless industry. Prior to joining SunCom in 2000, he was director of indirect sales and major accounts for BellSouth Mobility in Atlanta.

WareOnEarth Communications Inc. hired two new senior managers. John Gallagher is Navy program manager, responsible for all aspects of the company's support to SPAWAR Systems Center Charleston. He brings more than 20 years of experience in program management and business development. Brian Lindgren is a proposal manager. He has more than 20 years of experience in writing and editing, with an emphasis on technical writing and proposal development for government contract positions.

CharlestonSeafood.com appointed Michelle Fielden as customer relations coordinator. Most recently, Fielden worked for an area mortgage company as a production assistant and she has previous experience in customer relations and accounting.

Image Network LLC, a manufacturer and distributor of corporate embroidered and screen-printed apparel and advertising specialty products, moved Theresa P. McKnight to its sales team as an account executive. She has been with the company for four years in the corporate accounting department. She will focus primarily on branding solutions for corporate clients.
Libba A. Osborne has joined Leapfrog Public Relations and Marketing as an account supervisor. Osborne previously was a senior account executive with The Dunn/Robbins Group and an event consultant for Wine Enthusiast magazine in New York City.
Andrew Pierrotti joined WCBD-TV as a general assignment reporter. His broadcast journalism training began in the FOX 5 newsroom in Atlanta, where he worked with the investigative reporting team. He is a graduate of the University of South Carolina. Steve Blanchard joined WCBD-TV and Media General Inc. as a regional national sales manager. He previously was in Charlotte, N.C., where he sold both WBTW-TV in Florence, S.C., and WCBD-TV.
Ayoka Lucas joined Charleston magazine as style editor for Charleston, Charleston Home and Charleston Weddings magazines. Formerly a freelance stylist and magazine contributor, Lucas has more than 10 years experience.

Motley Rice LLC hired John M. Eubanks as a member of the firm's 9/11 and anti-terrorism practice group. Previously, Eubanks was with a Washington, D.C., law firm where he was involved in civil litigation against various groups within the United States who provided material support or resources to the Hamas terrorist organization.
Needle & Rosenberg, an intellectual property law firm, opened an office at 180 Meeting St. Chip Hood joined the firm as resident officer. Hood was previously employed as legal counsel for the Medical University of South Carolina Foundation for Research Development. He also worked in private practice in Charleston.
Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP added Ellis R. Lesemann to its firm as an associate in the Charleston office. Lesemann practices employment law and business litigation. He is a member of the firm's regulation of business and governmental relations department.
Kimberly J. Smith joined the law firm of Clawson & Staubes LLC at the firm's new location on Daniel Island. Former director of governmental affairs and in-house legal counsel for the Charleston Trident Association of Realtors, Smith will work in the firm's real estate section.

Liza Rehill was promoted to vice president of sales and service for South Carolina Federal Credit Union. She will supervise the branch management team in the tri-county area. Rehill joined S.C. Federal in 2002 as call center manger.
Harold E. "Ned" Jervey III was appointed chief operating officer and executive vice president of Community FirstBank. He has 32 years experience in financial institution management. Leon G. Runey joins the staff as vice president and commercial lending officer. Most recently, he was with the SouthTrust Commercial Lending Department. Mary D. Garcia is vice president and commercial lending officer. She previously was with SouthTrust Bank.
Shelly Davis joins Cornerstone Financial Strategies LLC as the administrative assistant. She is a recent graduate of Charleston Southern University and was previously employed at the Greater Summerville/Dorchester County Chamber of Commerce as special events director.
First Federal hired Mark Mercuri as a commercial loan officer and Ted Honney as a residential loan originator. Mercuri has 13 years of experience in financial services, most recently as a financial center manager. Honney has 14 years of experience in the financial services industry, and most recently served as a small business banker.

Trident United Way added two staff members. Chiantia Green is the database specialist for the Child Care Resource and Referral Service. Most recently, she was an engineering assistant for the South Carolina Department of Transportation. Latoyya Jones, parent referral specialist, will serve as a liaison between parents and community childcare resources. She was previously vice president of Vee's Sitter Services.
Joe Anonie was named executive director of Helping Hands of Goose Creek, which provides food and crisis assistance to citizens of Berkeley County. Anonie spent 26 years in the Catholic Church as an ordained minister.
Manufacturing
Jeremiah J. "Jon" Jewett III joined Giant Cement Holding Inc. as vice president and general counsel and secretary. He previously was in private practice, specializing in environmental law and general corporate law in Richmond, Va. Doug McIlvaine joined the staff as corporate controller. He is a former business analyst for Asten Johnson Inc.
Marinas
McKenzie Hutaff was promoted to slip manager at the Charleston City Marina and The Bristol Marina. She has been with the company one year, most recently as the manager of Bristol Marina. K.C. Rennie was named special events and marketing manager. Rennie also will serve as tournament director for the MegaDock Billfishing Tournament in June.
