MeadWestvaco employees raise funds for United Way
MeadWestvaco and its employees in the Kraft, Specialty Chemicals and Forestry Divisions presented $531,720 in donations to Trident United Way. MeadWestvaco employees in South Carolina raised money through the companys Employee Charitable Contributions Program, an employee-driven charitable campaign that has distributed funds annually since 1953. The donation also included a company match. Employee honored for fund-raising efforts
The Combined Federal Campaign honored Violet Legette with its Spirit of the CFC Award for her work raising $37,000 for charity from employees of the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration Coastal Services Center. NOAA Coastal Services Center employees pledged $37,000, a 14% increase over last year. It was the fifth straight year of double-digit increases at the Coastal Services Center. Sculpture in the South receives grant
American Express Financial Advisors named Summerville arts nonprofit Sculpture in the South as a recipient of a $10,000 award from the American Express Financial Advisors Field Community Partners Fund. Sculpture in the South has placed 14 pieces of permanent sculpture in Summervilles public spaces.
