Century 21 makes Easter Seals donation

Century 21 Properties Plus presented Easter Seals South Carolina with a $16,000 check to support its programs and services. Last year, Century 21 Properties Plus donated more than $7,000 for Easter Seals South Carolina and was recognized by Century 21 Real Estate Corp. as the Century 21 System’s Top Easter Seals fundraiser in North and South Carolina. Easter Seals and Century 21 have worked together since 1979, and the Century 21 System has raised more than $75 million to help people with disabilities live more independent lives. 

 

Monte Carlo Night funds Habitat house

The AgentOwned Realty Co. presented Charleston Habitat for Humanity with a check for $38,025—proceeds from a Monte Carlo Night fundraiser last December. This amount is the largest dollar amount ever raised for Charleston Habitat in a single day event. Liz Loadholt, chief operating officer of the Mount Pleasant office of Agent-Owned Realty Co., presented the check to Habitat Executive Director Marika Kary. AgentOwned real estate agents from all around the Lowcountry sold tickets to cover the cost of a square foot of one Habitat house.

 

Grocer aids chaplaincy organization

Piggly Wiggly Carolina Co. Inc. donated $5,000 to the Coastal Crisis Chaplaincy, which provides pastoral care and counseling for employees and families of law enforcement and other emergency responders, assists the coroner in notifying individuals who have lost a family member in a violent manner, and visits crime victims and their families in the home. 

 

Verizon Wireless contributes to S.C. organizations

South Carolina Attorney General Henry McMaster joined South Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Executive Director Vicki Bourus in thanking Verizon Wireless for its $50,000 donation during the coalition’s annual meeting in Columbia, S.C. Verizon Wireless donated more than $220,000 in cash and services to more than 20 South Carolina community organizations in 2004, including local organizations such as the American Heart Association, My Sisters House, Outfitted for Work, Trident Literacy Association, Trident Technical College and Water Missions International.
