Liollio Architecture named Rick Bousquet a principal and shareholder. He has been with Liollio for seven years, currently serving as director of operations.

 

Consultants

Work Volf Consultants LLC named Leonard “Butch” Volf vice president of business development. Volf is a former vice president of transmission service for Santee Cooper.

 

Law

Pratt-Thomas Epting & Walker PA named Clayton B. McCullough a shareholder in the firm. He practices commercial litigation, products liability, construction law and litigation, administrative law and personal injury. He has been with the firm for three years.

 

Young Clement Rivers LLP named Amy E. Mathisen a partner in the firm. She works with the workers’ compensation group.

 

Bryson Geer, Ian Ford and Robert Jordan were named partners at Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough. Ford practices litigation, product liability and toxic torts. Geer practices business litigation and financial institutions. Jordan practices business litigation and product liability.

 

Buist, Byars, Pearce & Taylor LLC promoted administrative assistant Amber Carey to administrative manager. She works in the Mount Pleasant office overseeing the firm’s overall day-to-day operations. She previously worked for Great Beach Management as a regime and association manager.

 

Nonprofit

Meaghan Popper joined the ASCEND Foundation as executive director. A graduate of the University of Colorado, she has spent the last two years in both the fundraising and political arenas.

 

Arts & Enterainment

Charleston Ballet Theatre added two staff members, Dorothy George and Miranda Tisdale. George is director of development, a newly created position. Previously, she worked for Goodwill Industries of Lower South Carolina in the fund development and marketing division. Tisdale is office administrator. She previously was the events planner for the Old Exchange Building.

 

Engineering

Applied Technology and Management Inc. hired Chris Mack as a senior coastal engineer. Previously, he was lead coastal engineer with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Charleston District and most recently was with Coastal Science and Engineering in Columbia, S.C.

 

Kenneth A. Holseberg was named president of the site work division at Gulf Stream Construction Co. Inc. He joined the company in 1993 and previously was executive vice president.

 

Beach Commercial, a brokerage division of The Beach Co., added Liz Ayele, Danielle Hobbs and Crystal Murphy to its staff as commercial assistants. Previously, Ayele was a commercial real estate assistant for the industrial division of NAI Hunneman in Boston. Hobbs previously spent four years with Gulfstream Aerospace in Savannah, Ga., as a pricing analyst and sales administrator. Murphy joined Beach Commercial after managing a large local real estate firm for the past two years.

 

Barkleyfraser.com hired Mike Ferrer. He specializes in industrial leasing and sales. Also, Johnny Bevon is a new principal of the firm. He specializes in general brokerage in the Summerville market area and restaurant brokerage.

 

Joyce Greene and Joy M. Layton joined Century 21 Properties Plus Inc. as Realtors working in the Mount Pleasant offices. Greene has 23 years of experience in international logistics.

 

John Payne of The Payne Real Estate Group joined Keller Williams Realty Charleston-West office. He has practiced real estate in the Charleston area for more than 28 years, previously owning and managing real estate and construction companies.

 

Dunes Properties of Charleston Inc. added three new staff members: Neil Robinson, real estate sales; Kelly Grant, reservations; and Betsy Burris, property management. Robinson spent 18 years in management and customer service in the hospitality industry. Grant previously worked in retail management. Burris most recently worked in sales and marketing at a resort property.

 

Marketing

Slant Media LLC hired William G. Bullock Jr. as graphic designer. He has more than six years of graphic communication and design experience with an emphasis on branding and identity packages.

 

New Business

Classical Pilates opened a studio in the I’On Square in Mount Pleasant. Owner Beth Sterne is a certified Pilates instructor and former accountant who relocated from New York City.

 

Sommer Chambers is the new owner of Simply Said, a Charleston-based gift basket company formerly known as Holy Roasters. Chambers previously worked as the clinical director for Maxim Home Health in Charleston.

 

K.J. Property Management LLC, specializing in homeowners associations, opened in Charleston. Kathleen M. John, owner and manager, has seven years experience and a license in property management.

 

Financial

The Rev. Dr. Richard R. “Dick” Campbell joined Thrivent Fin-ancial for Lutherans as a financial representative and director of planned giving in the Southeast region. Campbell retired as senior pastor of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church last fall after 18 years of service and 33 years in the ministry.

 

Carl E. Wolff III joined First Independence Mortgage Corp. as a loan officer executive. He previously was an account executive for Bank of America Mortgage.

 

Staffing Services

Corey Smith joined MAU Inc. as a staffing specialist responsible for interviewing, orientation and placing qualified candidates.

 

Hospitality

Clint Sloan has been promoted to wine director of McCrady’s restaurant. Sloan has been assistant sommelier at McCrady’s for five years.

 

Health Care

Lynda Strenck joins Southeastern Fertility Center as an IUI (intrauterine insemination) nurse coordinator. Strenck brings over 25 years of medical experience to Southeastern Fertility Center.
