Architecture center design competition selects five finalists

Five architecture firms have been selected as finalists in Clemson University’s design competition for the proposed Clemson Architecture Center on George Street in downtown Charleston.

 

The finalists include Boston-based firms Ann Beha Architects and Kennedy & Violich Architecture Ltd., W.G. Clark Associates of Charlottesville, Va., Allied Works Architecture Inc. of Portland, Ore. and Cruz y Ortiz Arquitectos of Seville, Spain.

 

The winning design will be selected this month.

 

The Clemson Architecture Center will include units of the university’s College of Architecture Arts and Humanities.
