Erin M. Plasterer, a 2004 graduate of Radford University, joined the certified public accounting firm of Streetman & Jones PC as office manager.
George Clayman was appointed senior vice president-branch manager for Global Mortgage Group Inc.s new Daniel Island mortgage origination facility. Prior to joining Global Mortgage in November 2002, Clayman was the South Carolina account manager for Ameritrust in Charlotte, N.C.
Community FirstBank promoted Lisa Adams to banking officer in the James Island office. She joined the bank in 1999 as a teller/customer service representative. Lois Kersting was promoted to banking officer in the Summerville office. She joined Community FirstBank in 2002 as an account manager. Joanie Ward Paulling was promoted to assistant vice president, mortgage lending. Paulling started with the bank working in mortgage operations. Michael Wood, a 2004 graduate of Clemson University, joined Community FirstBank as a mortgage loan originator focusing on the Summerville market. Ned Jervey was appointed chief operating officer and executive vice president. He joined the bank in 2002 as senior vice president and has 32 years of experience in financial institution management.
Robert A. Bob Kosian joined New Star Financial as managing director of middle market lending for the Southeast. He has more than 25 years of banking and merchant banking experience in the United States, the United Kingdom and Europe.
REAL ESTATE
AgentOwned Realty added several new staff members to its Mount Pleasant office. Blake Dunn previously spent five years in the Seattle area studying business and traveling before returning to the Lowcountry. Rick Kesic has more than 20 years of experience in development and operations of retirement communities. Roberto Puig has 35 years of experience in sales and a background in mechanical engineering. He also speaks fluent Spanish and German. Kevin Sanders has 15 years experience in residential and commercial construction. Julie Johnson has 23 years experience in advertising and marketing and most recently was the media director at Rawle Murdy Associates. Alana Stogner has 10 years experience in the hospitality industry. Joe Marone has 25 years experience in the construction business. John Beall spent 16 years in sales and management with United Industries Corp. in St. Louis, Mo. Helga Ganger was a stockbroker in New York City and has seven years of real estate experience. Tracy Stogner worked for two years in the AgentOwned Summerville office. Lydia Sniderman has a masters degree in social work from the University of South Carolina and previously worked with Habitat for Humanity. Rick and Wendy Dreher joined the preferred service team serving the tri-county area. Donna McCall has 30 years real estate sales and broker experience. Sonja Tompkins and Pamela Witt also joined the Mount Pleasant office.
Mary Todd Toddy Poore joined the sales team of Dunes Properties of Charleston Inc. With 42 years of real estate experience, Poore was one of nine agents and two assistants to open a new office in Mount Pleasant. Sandra Sandy Thompson brings 12 years of real estate experience to her position as real estate assistant in the new Mount Pleasant office. Moira Kammerer is a real estate assistant in the Isle of Palms office. Kammerer previously worked in real estate sales in New York. LaTarah Coney is a reservationist in the property management and vacation rentals division. She has experience in customer service positions and is a certified EMT.
Scott Benedict joined Coldwell Banker Commercial Atlantic International, specializing in office leasing and multi-family sales. He has more than 25 years experience in the building contracting industry while specializing in historic preservation and restoration.
Clement, Crawford & Thornhill Inc. hired William L. Gilliard III as an associate, focusing on commercial sales and leasing. Gilliard has eight years of experience as a logistics manager in the U.S. Army and most recently as a sales and operations manager for the Hertz Corp.
Prudential Carolina Real Estate hired several new sales associates. Andrea Crews, JC Conway, Lana Flowers Elliott, Rob Martin and Bob Taylor will work at the Long Point Road office in Mount Pleasant. Kitt Starckey and Jenna Feuling will work at the Mount Pleasant North office. Deb Budak will work at the Wappoo Creek office on James Island. Catherine Marshall and Russel McNeil will work at the Main Street office in Summerville. Grey Allred and Lee Anne McColl will work at the Coleman Boulevard office in Mount Pleasant. Charlotte Padgett Edwards will work at the Broad Street office. Jill Weeks will work at the Orleans Road office. Carol Conway will work at the Trolley Road office in Summerville.
Lina M. Hill and Sally Ballentine joined Coldwell Banker Coastal Properties. Hill has eight years of experience in residential sales.
EDUCATION
The Lowcountry Graduate Center hired Jessica Hartzog to oversee budgetary and fiscal matters as well as serving as program coordinator for the Certified Financial Planner Certification Education Program at the College of Charleston North Campus. Previously, Hartzog was administrative assistant for Key Financial Concepts Inc. in Mount Pleasant.
HEALTH CARE
Bill Hollingsworth purchased Palmetto Worksite Group, an independent voluntary employee benefits agency. He takes over for Colin Smoak, who joined the David Gilston Insurance Agency as a health insurance consultant.
NONPROFIT
Gordon G. Willard joined the John Ancrum SPCA as executive director. Previously, Willard spent 21 years as the executive director of the Animal Protective Foundation of Schenectady and is a charter member of the New York State Health Department Task Force for Shelter Standards.

The Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce promoted Honey Hopkins from public policy coordinator to public policy manager. She has been with the chamber since November 2002.

He was formerly with the Scapellato Group Inc. on Johns Island. Sarah Moïse is manager of public relations. She was formerly a staff writer for the Charleston Regional Business Journal. Paul Klein is a data analyst in the carrier services division. Klein was formerly with the BWD Group in Jencho, N.Y. Carin Connelley is a recruiter. She was formerly with Blackbaud. Michael Miles is a project manager in the professional services group. He was formerly with EDS in Atlanta. Lindsay Comar is an implementation consultant with the client services/implementation departments. She was formerly with Creative Solutions in Dexter, Mich. Kirk LeCureux is a business analyst in the client services division. LeCureux was formerly with Apex Systems in Charlotte, N.C. Kimberly Smith is an executive assistant in the sales and marketing department. She was previously with Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield and Buyer in San Francisco. Kristin Reid was promoted from senior software engineer to manager of Web development for the eEnrollment division. Russell Reeves, Christopher Riffle and Perry Minchew also joined the staff as software engineers with EDI Support. Reeves was formerly with Kodak, Xerox in Rochester, N.Y., and IBM in Austin. Riffle was formerly with Applied Technology Solutions in Jacksonville, N.C. Minchew previously was a civilian software engineer at Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, Ga. David Henley is a production data services analyst. He was formerly with the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center. Valerie Valesky is a software engineer in the eEnrollment division. She previously was with Chick-Fil-A in Atlanta. Ulonda D. Mitchell is a product testing project manager for the eEnrollment product management division. Mitchell was formerly a project leader for MeadWestvaco Corp. Eric Bowman is a software engineer in the eExchange division. Bowman was previously with AAI Corp. in Summerville. Eddie Cliff is an operational support engineer in the operational support division. He formerly was a customer support analyst with Blackbaud. C. She previously worked for The State newspaper in Columbia, S.C. Rachel Pleasant was hired as a staff writer. She previously worked for The Ledger in Lakeland, Fla.

Earl A. Bridges Jr. is the new owner of Lowcountry Ford Mercury. Bridges previously owned a Ford dealership in Gaffney, S.C. Before entering the retail automotive industry, Bridges practiced law in New Orleans.

WareOnEarth Communications Inc. hired Steve Hittle as Army program manager. He is responsible for business development with the U.S. Army in the southeastern United States. Heather Martel is manager of finance and accounting. She has seven years of experience in government contract accounting.

Ellie McGinness joined Pixie Lily as director of the companys marketing and sales efforts. Previously, McGinness was director of marketing at QuickFarm in Charleston. The Pixie Lily focuses on babys layettes.
