The Charleston Regional Business Journal is proud to honor women of outstanding achievement in our business community. We invite you to nominate an associate, client, co-worker or acquaintance who you believe is an outstanding candidate for Influential Women in Business in one of the following categories:
Business Owner/CEO of the Year – This business owner or Chief Executive Officer is an inspiration to her organization and leads by example, accomplishing results well beyond the standards of her industry.
Executive of the Year – This manager is a key member of her executive team who far exceeds the expectations of her organization and is recognized as a leader among her peers.
Rising Star of the Year – This individual has made noteworthy contributions to date and is well on her way to making a meaningful imprint on the future of her organization and the local business community.
Volunteer of the Year – This individual donates significant amounts of time toward the betterment of her community and/or workplace. Her contribution of service to the community is an inspiration to others.
Philanthropist of the Year – This individual has had a significant impact on the well being of her community by providing leadership in raising funds and charitable donations for local organizations in need.
Selection Criteria:
- Must be a resident of and employed in South Carolina.
- May be self-nominated or nominated by another person.
- Please note that this is the only information judges will have to make their decisions. Please be thorough. Judges will be looking for specific examples of the following:
- Professional excellence: list specific business accomplishments demonstrating excellence in her field
- Leadership: List specific examples of how she demonstrated leadership
- Vision: offer examples of how nominee has demonstrated vision as a leader
- Community Service: describe community involvement
- Mentoring: give examples of how she has mentored others
Nominations must be received by August 29, 2008.
