Lawmaker says flood premiums shouldn’t increase State Rep. Chip Limehouse, R-Charleston, questioned whether the federal government would charge South Carolinians millions more for flood insurance if the state delayed implementation of new residential building codes, which he said are too costly to push on homebuilders during a slow real estate market.

Charleston School of Law graduates second class The school, which has been educating new lawyers for four years now, graduated its second class Saturday at McAlister Field House on the campus of The Citadel. While completing their education, the 163 new lawyers gave more than 14,000 hours of pro bono work through the schools public service program.
